Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

If we cannot earn salvation then why do people insist we can
lose salvation? If we say we trust Christ to be our shepherd then why don’t we
trust Him to be able to keep His own flock? Psalm 125 is an OT reference to the
eternal salvation of the believer.
Psalm 125:1-2
A SONG OF ASCENTS. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.

There is always a tendency to think the wicked are getting
away with their sin. There is this idea that doing the right thing doesn’t
always seem to be the best choice. But that is because we are impatient and are
not waiting on God.
Psalm 125:3-5
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong. Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts! But those who turn aside to their crooked ways the LORD will lead away with evildoers! Peace be upon Israel!

Notice the last statement. To the psalmist came comfort in
knowing God’s people of the OT could trust in God and thus have peace. To the
Christian is the same promise.
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christians you can rest assured Jesus will not leave you nor
forsake you. If you are His then you are His. Take comfort in Him. He is our
rock and He is unmovable.
Amen
