We can continue to complain and be disgusted by the world
and the things going on. We can post on Social media about Hillary and demand
jail time. We can argue over the BLM movement. Or...we could be faithful as
Christians and do what God calls us to do in the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 1:5
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not
overcome it.
Isaiah 58:9-12
Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall
cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst,
the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out
for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light
rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the LORD will guide
you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones
strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose
waters do not fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up
the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the
breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.
Church we must follow the call of Jesus as He stated in
Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its
taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything
except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of
the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp
and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the
house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see
your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
The light WILL overcome the darkness. But it is our duty to
shine it.
